Differential ECL to Digital Converter Module
DESCRIPTION
The ICE-E2D Module is a differential ECL to TTL converter for use on an ICE card with a 16-bit digital I/O site. It converts F100K differential ECL logical levels (compatible with standard Midas switch connections) into TTL levels.
The module supports a number of termination options. The center of the differential input resistor pair may be 1) left open, 2)connected directly to Gnd, or 3) connected to Gnd through a capacitor. The default configuration for SDN connections is option 3 with 50 ohm resistors and 0.1uF capacitors. For direct ribbon cable connections, option 1 with a pair of 50 ohm resistors is typically used. Options 1 and 2 must be special ordered.
The input/output connector is a 40 pin ribbon cable with data bit 0 on pins 1&40, bit 1 on pins 2&39, ... , bit 15 on pins 16&25, and clock on pins 20&21.
