The ICE-slimPIC card is a 4-channel digital tuner or general purpose DSP processor for Laptop computers, featuring:
The series 3 card can be configured with two 80Mhz 8-bit A/Ds (Slimpic-A) or one standard ICE digital I/O module site (Slimpic-D).
GC4014 Digital Tuner:
One GrayChip GC4014 Digital Tuner provides digital narrow-band tuning on one or two digital input streams. The GC4014 is controlled via the SHARC data bus and outputs data to one of six SHARC link ports. The 16-bit digital input data can come from the external I/O Module ports or the SHARC link ports. This allows data that is archived on the host (disk or memory) to be processed by the tuners.
Wideband Input:
The tuner chip may be bypassed to acquire the wide-band input directly into the host if desired. Four link ports are dedicated to wideband input. See Diagram.
