For reliable operation of PIC4, 5, 6 series cards in the HP DL380 G6 model servers, a minimum 750W power supply must be installed, and the default bios cooling mode must be set to “INCREASED AIR FLOW”. (BOOT → F9 → BIOS → ADVANCED OPTIONS → THERMAL CONFIGURATION → INCREASED COOLING ) Use of “OPTIMAL COOLING” voids warranty of all installed ICE card and modules.
