Engineering Note: The maximum GIGEXD transfer rate over gigabit ethernet is 100 MBytes/Sec.   The A2DR7-D can be operated at rates up to 100Mhz with 16 bit data (14 bit data MSB aligned).  Therefore, the effective rate of the A2DR7-D is 200MBytes/Sec.  Using the A2DR7-D at maximum rates means that the user has to lower the effective rate of data transmission out the GIGEXD to the gigabit ethernet interface.  This can be done in 1 of 3 ways:

1) The Digital Tuner within the GIGEXD can be used to tune, filter, and then decimate the data.

2) The input sample rate can  be decimated-clocking the data at higher rates but throwing away samples to provide for a slower rate.  Ex. clocking at 100Mhz but setting the GIGEXD front end decimation to 2

3) The input samples must be reduced in size (number of bits).  The user can configure the GIGEXD to only acquire the most significant 8 bits of a sample.
